Meet Dr. Ronna Abaeyv
Dr. Ronna Abaeyv was born and raised in Queens, New York City, where she excelled academically, graduating at the top of her class from Forest Hills High School. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the City University of New York, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her passion for education led her to serve as an adjunct professor of biochemistry at Hunter College following her graduation.
Dr. Ronna pursued her dental education at the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and received the Honors Orthodontics Award from the American Association of Orthodontics. She continued her training at NYU, completing her post-doctoral residency in Orthodontics and Dental Orthopedics. Shortly after, she became a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field.
Throughout her career, Dr. Ronna has contributed to numerous research projects, including behavioral neurobiology studies at Rockefeller University and research on fluorosis, for which she received the Craniofacial Biology Award from the International Association for Dental Research. She remains committed to staying at the forefront of orthodontic advancements, utilizing the latest techniques and technologies to provide exceptional care.
Dr. Ronna’s greatest joy as an orthodontist comes from helping her patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their treatment journey.
When she’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Ronna loves spending quality time with her family and young children. She’s also an avid runner, currently training for her first 5K race.
